KILCHOMAN 16 yo 50%
Carefully matured for more than sixteen years, KILCHOMAN 16 years old embodies the very essence of the Kilchoman distillery. Matured in a harmonious blend of first-fill bourbon casks and oloroso sherry butts, the peat influence has transformed, offering a more refined interpretation of Kilchoman's distinctive identity.
The characteristic smoky and salty imprint intertwines beautifully with citrus nuances, creating a mature and sophisticated taste experience.
Nose: Notes of vanilla and caramel.
Taste: Balanced, sweet and spicy.
Finale: Persistent, length in aromas of vanilla and caramel.
THE BRAND
KILCHOMAN was founded by Anthony Wills in June 2005. For more than 124 years a new distillery has not seen the light of day on the island of Islay on the west coast of Scotland. Supplied by the Port Ellen maltings, it now makes a point of bringing in around 20% of the barley grown on its own land. Certainly one of the smallest distilleries on the island, but already boasting a prestigious maturity.
