THE BRAND
The Courvoisier distillery, founded in 1828 and headquartered in Jarnac, stands as a leading house in the luxury spirits market. COURVOISIER's reputation as the finest cognac was enhanced by Napoleon III, who bestowed upon it the title of "Official Supplier to the Imperial Court" in 1869. This certificate is now displayed at the COURVOISIER museum in Jarnac, along with other Napoleon-related objects and memorabilia.
In 1909, the English Simon family took over the COURVOISIER business, initiating the construction of the COURVOISIER brand identity and the development of its global reputation. They established the silhouette of Napoleon and introduced the Josephine bottle in 1950; today, both symbols are recognized worldwide.
COURVOISIER is currently owned by Jim Beam Global, one of the largest beverage companies globally. Nevertheless, COURVOISIER® continues to maintain the exact standards of creation and blending introduced by its founder over 200 years ago.
Courvoisier Cognac VSOP undergoes a minimum of 10 years of aging in French white oak barrels, resulting in a subtle and harmonious taste with notes of vanilla and peach, becoming soft and round on the palate.
Courvoisier is considered one of the four great cognac houses globally, originating in France and known as Napoleon cognac.
