Originating from Martinique, Saint James VSOP agricultural rum is described by the in-house oenologist as a gourmand pure cane aged rum. Aged in tropical cellars for a minimum of 4 years, its roasted notes blend remarkably with spicy ones (vanilla, cinnamon). A base of very old rum with candied fruit flavors envelops the whole.

Nose: Woody, roasted, coffee notes.
Palate: Roasted with spices, prunes.
Finish: Long and spicy.
The first Rums distilled at the Trou Vaillant estate in Martinique were exported to North America under the name Saint James in 1765. Paulin Lambert purchased the estate and registered the Saint James brand in 1882 with its famous square bottle. Operated at multiple sites and known for supplying soldiers during World War I, Saint James was acquired by Cointreau in 1973, consolidating its operations at the Sainte Marie site.
