THE BRAND
Founded in 1825 by the Murphy family in Cork, Ireland, the Middletown distillery has evolved to become part of the Irish Distillers Group, created for the occasion and born from the merger of the companies John Power, John Jameson and of course Cork Distilleries. In 1975, a new distillery was built next to the old one. In 1984, the Midleton very rare range was launched, where only 50 casks were selected. Now a subsidiary of the Pernod-Ricard group, famous whiskey brands are produced, Jameson, Power, Tullamore Dew, Redbreast, Green spot, Yellow spot, Paddy.
