Miltonduff is a 30 year old whisky, distilled in 1990 and aged in refill bourbon barrel before being bottled in the Connoisseur Choice Upper range at its natural strength. This fine and elegant single malt blends pleasantly with notes of mango, tobacco and honey. Of all the existing trading ranges, Connoisseurs Choice is probably the oldest. Reviewed and modified several times since its creation, this range knows how to preserve all its quality and its essence. Connoisseurs Choice single malts invite the connoisseur to discover unique expressions of Scotland's finest distilleries, through different degrees, maturities, years and profiles.
Nose: Fragrant lemon zest leads to mango, pineapple and sweet vanilla. Honey comes to the fore alongside rich white chocolate.
Palate: Intense flavors of crystallized violets give way to tropical fruit. Black pepper notes develop leading to orange sorbet and roasted nuts.
Finish: Medium-bodied and spicy with lingering sweet fruit and mature oak.
The story begins in 1895 in the heart of Speyside with a rather fine grocery store. James Gordon and John Alexander MacPhail sought to complete their stock by sourcing numerous single malts from Speyside. Independent bottler, Gordon & MacPhail distinguishes itself by its total mastery of maturation with its own carefully selected casks, in search of excellence in the art of aging whisky
