Nose: Complex and fragrant. Notes of candied citrus and roasted flavors.
Palate: Powerful with an explosive aromatic richness based on cooked pears, citrus fruits, cinnamon and pepper.
Finish: Long, spicy and marked by the return of citrus present in the nose.
The Brand
Barbancourt is a Haitian agricultural rum distillery founded by a Bordeaux wine merchant who settled in Santo Domingo in the 18th century. He set about producing rum using the double distillation method usually reserved for cognacs. The distillery changed location several times before finally being built on an area of 600 hectares. Currently, it is one of the main brands in Haiti. A success that is based on several centuries of experimentation of all kinds and which places it among the greatest rums in the world.
