Glen Moray Curiosity Rye Cask Finish 46,3%
The single malt Glen Moray Curiosity Rye Cask Finish was produced in 2006. It was aged in barrels that contained Kentucky Rye whisky giving it an expression on the sweet pungent with the sweetness of caramel. This unique combination is far from leaving us indifferent and calls for curiosity.
Nose: The sweet vanilla is beautifully balanced with notes of fresh citrus zest and spicy white pepper.
Taste: Spicy and sweet. Sweet caramel and oak meet the fruits of the woods. Peppery character with citrus notes.
Finish: Vanilla and oaky spices blend in subtle coffee notes. Rounded, with a satisfactory dryness in the finish.
THE BRAND
The Glen Moray distillery was founded on the banks of the Lossie River, west of Elgin. Located in the middle of the famous Speyside in Scotland, this old brewery was converted into a distillery in the 1897’s. Glen Moray made a radical choice, deciding to develop a single malt, which will be aged 100% in Bourbon barrels, giving it its unique specificity.
