For its 35th anniversary, Centenario is launching a limited edition called «1985». The blend of rums aged under climate of the Costa Rican rainforest has been refined from barrels containing scotch whisky. The result is a fruity, oaky, smoky rum, a true tribute to the brand.

THE BRAND
Costa Rica is the place to grow sugar cane. Its warm and humid climate offers ideal conditions for the production of high quality rum. It is in this idyllic place that the Centenario distillery produces its rum with the greatest care and respect for tradition. Created in 1850 it is one of the oldest distillery in operation on the American continent. Molasses is produced on site and distilled from two types of stills, column and iron. The assembly is usually made on ex-bourbon barrels, then the use of the solera system for aging.
