TOBERMORY 12-year-old 46,3%
Produced and released at the beginning of 2019, in the only distillery on the island of Mull, Tobermory 12-year-old is a peatless single malt that is reminiscent of some coastal Highland malts, with a vibrant, fruity, spicy character with a subtle salty touch.
This Tobermory was aged for 12 years in American oak barrels, then bottled to celebrate the rebirth of the distillery, which remained two years in work.
Nose: Sweet aromas, vanilla, ripe orange notes.
Taste: Nice notes of citrus, tropical fruit apples, with notes of toffee, honey, slightly salty.
Finish: Pleasant and round with a vibrant and fruity character.
Founded in 1798, Tobermory is the only whisky distillery on the island of Mull and one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland.
After many closures and acquisitions, the distillery was bought by Distell in 2013. After a complete maintenance and renovation, the distillery reopened in 2019, producing single malt Tobermory and Ledaig and also a gin.
