Chantal Comte Rhum Blanc L'arbre du Voyageur 49%

€80.00 VAT included

Chantal Comte chose a unique destination for this vintage “L’Arbre du Voyageur”: Mauritius. "The Traveler's Tree" then takes on its full meaning because it is on this island that we find the emblematic tree of the traveler, called "Ravanela" in Mauritian Creole.

As soon as it arrived in the Chais Saint Éloi 88, this rum was placed in terracotta amphorae, for stabilization, maturation, combined with micro-oxygenation, in order to obtain a slow and optimal reduction, because the amphora, thanks due to its porosity, breathes like no other container!

Quantity

Nose: Pleasant attack with aromas of fresh sugar cane and tropical fruits, with a delicate, light, mineral and long aromatic finish.

Palate: Oily and powerful, distinctly mineral and spicy. Aging in amphorae preserved the primary notes while reinforcing the pre-existing mineral framework. Beautiful overall suavity, with a tactile texture reminiscent of amphora and its minerality.

Serving Tip: It is traditionally served at room temperature in a tulip-shaped stemmed glass from the Riedel or Spiegelau brand.

Pairings: This rum will enhance vegetable tempura, sushi or salmon sashimi. For dessert, it will deliciously accompany fruit salads, fruit tarts, frozen nougat, and much more.
