A1710 Soleil de Minuit 46.4%
Soleil de Minuit, by A1710 Distillery, is an exceptional rum crafted from the blend of 6 rums from Martinique and Guadeloupe, aged between 9 and 13 years. These rums underwent a secondary maturation in French oak casks, formerly used for cognac, with a volume of 300L. They were then blended and further refined in cognac casks.
The outcome? A balanced, smooth, and fruity rum, enriched with delicate spice notes. Each bottle, hand-bottled and numbered, embodies the craftsmanship and excellence of this cuvée.
Nose: A warm and sweet nose presents initial notes of tangy and fruity aromas, notably citrus and exotic fruits, complemented by hints of honey and mint. Then, a second nosing reveals a melted and supple woodiness, accompanied by vanilla, roasting, nutmeg, and cocoa.
Palate: Warm and spicy, with notes of stewed exotic fruits and vanilla.
After taste: Long and aromatic.
A1710 is a relatively new distillery on the island of Martinique in the commune of François. In 2010, Yves Assier de Pompignan, encouraged by his father (founder of the Technical Center for Cane and Sugar, Martinique), embarked on the construction of a white rum distillery. What drives the A1710 distillery is the search for authenticity. They remain faithful to Martinique’s sugar and rum history, by highlighting all the nobility of manual labour.
In 2016, A1710 rums obtained their ECOCERT certificate.
