Mackmyra Appelblom is the result of the encounter between the Swedish single malt Mackmyra and Calvados from Frenchman Christian Drouin. Distilled by the BRUK distillery, in limited edition, and aged in Calvados casks, which allow this single Malt to release notes of apples, ripe pears, citrus fruits, thus giving a lively and fruity side to this magnificent Mackmyra distillate.
Nose : Notes of fruits like apple, pear, peach and lemon. Notes of vanilla, caramel that come from aging in Calvados barrels.
Palate : Spicy notes from the mixture of white pepper and ginger, also with notes of vanilla and almond which round out and soften this single malt.
Finish : Nice length, with a slightly oily, fruity, woody, tangy and spicy texture.
THE BRAND
Mackmyra is a Swedish distillery, 100% local and eco-friendly. Mackmyra is the first distillery to see the light of day on Swedish territory, in 1999 in the heart of the province of Gästrikland. In 2012, they opened a second distillery, with the evocative and futuristic name of Gravity. This distillery uses the law of gravity to reduce its environmental footprint. Result: Gravity is the first distillery with a neutral carbon impact, and today produces all of the Mackmyra Single Malts!
