Linkwood 12-year-old is a Scotch whisky from the famous Flora & Fauna range. It is a Single Malt both fruity and floral and slightly woody. It is part of a cult series very appreciated by whisky lovers.
Nose: Fruity aromas with a hint of vanilla.
Taste: Round and creamy with cereal notes, peat and subtle floral notes.
Finish: Long with notes of cedar.
Founded in 1821 by Peter Brown, the Linkwood whisky distillery is located in Elgin, Speyside, Scotland and has an idyllic setting. It started producing its whisky only from 1825. Since 1992, the distillery belongs to the Diageo group. Linkwood is part of the aristocracy of distilleries because its whiskies are able to age for a long time and pair with all types of barrels.
The Flora & Fauna range is the name of a must-have collection in the world of Scotch whisky, but little known by the general public. It was introduced in 1991 by United Distillers & Vintners (Diageo) and includes bottles from various Scotch Whisky distilleries.
The complete collection has 26 references, some of which are sold out and have now become real collectors.
