

The Glenkinchie Distillers Edition 2021 single malt was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021 after aging in Amontillado sherry casks for its second maturation. This gives it a beautiful fruity richness complemented by a woody, spicy character, which makes it a fascinating and exciting single malt to discover.
Nose : Vanille, dry raisins, nutty.
Palate : Woody, biscuit, raisin.
Finish: Long dry, peppery with a hint of caramel.
The Glenkinchie Distillery was founded in 1820 in Pencaitland, 25 kms south of Edinburgh near the mountains which provide water to the River Kinchie for the distillation. One of the last distilleries in the Lowlands, producing “Edinburgh malt”, owned by the Diageo group, and run by a woman named Kay Fleming. With a large stills these include a wash still and spirit still. With unique character, Glenkinchie is part of the Classic Malts Selection.
