Nose: Notes of smoked vanilla, sweet caramel and toffee, the slightly charcoal smoke being balanced by delicate notes of coconut and flaked almonds. There are unmistakable aromas of earthy smoke and a hint of citrus, notes of lemon meringue pie contrasting with the richness of barbecued pork.
Taste: Citrus freshness, smoke and a clear minerality come through, followed by toasted oak and beach bonfire embers. Caramel and creamy vanilla balance with earthy smoke, and bright notes of pear, gooseberry, and green apple simultaneously add brightness and depth. Roasted coffee, clove and nutmeg notes begin to come through, with a slight hint of heather honey
Finish: Caramel and vanilla are balanced by Octomore's signature earthy peat smoke and a hint of salt spray, with burnt heather and gorse flowers settling in on the finish
