The Rum Foursquare Cask Strengh 2010 comes from the Exceptional Casks range of the eponymous distillery. It is a blend of different pot still distilled rums which have benefited from aging for 12 years, in ex-bourbon casks. It was bottled at its natural degree 09 60% and without chill filtration.
Limited series.
Nose: fruity with exotic notes of pineapple, mango, a hint of pepper.
Palate: Rich, with an explosion of exotic flavors.
Finish: Long with hints of peppery oak.
The Foursquare Distillery is now one of the most modern distilleries in the world. It is owned by the Seale family, who have lived in Barbados since 1926 as a merchant. It produces rum in a light style in a three-column still, and another, more powerful style, in a pot still. It produces the best spiced rum in the world, but also white rum, amber rum and old rum.
