Macallan Anecdotes of Ages - Sir Peter Blake is a prestigious limited edition for the Anecdotes of Ages collection. An extraordinary collaboration between the Macallan distillery and British pop artist Sir Peter Blake. This is their third collaboration, the 2021 edition commemorates Sir Peter Blake's visit to the famous distillery. This single malt was the vision of Lead Whisky Maker, Sarah Burgess, she was inspired by Sir Peter Blake’s character to create a whisky classic in style with surprising notes of treacle and black pepper. The bottle label was created by Sir Peter Blake.

The box set also contains a certificate detailing the history and heritage on which the art was based, illustrations printed on a scroll with a tracing paper overlay providing information about each character in The Macallan story that Sir Peter Blake chose to include in his art.
Nose : Rich in dried fruits and spices with hints of orange and clove.
Palate : Dried fruits with cracked black pepper and treacle, accents of vanilla and orange oil.
Finish : A long, rich oak finish with cinnamon and cacao.
The Macallan Distillery was founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, a barley farmer and schoolteacher, on a plateau above the River Spey in Speyside, North East Scotland. The original name of this area until 1400, was "Maghellan", taken from the Gallic word "magh" meaning fertile land and "Ellan" from the monk St. Macallan Estae. Farmers have been making whiskies on Speyside farms in this region for centuries, using the surplus barley during the quieter winter months. Today The Macallan's reputation is based on a product of exceptional quality and distinctiveness, founded with a set of guiding principles : place, people and passion. For each edition, the quality of the whisky largely depends on the oak barrels in which it is matured. This distillery carefully selects the best spirit from the stills. Only 16% is kept, creating a rich and concentrated distillate, making it one of the best in the industry.
