Picti Tribe is a new single malt created by Donald MacKenzie and Mackay Smith, from their brand the Islay Boys. While we are more used to peated whiskies, they produce a single malt, from Speyside aged in old bourbon casks, unpeated, a rich whisky focused on malt. This whisky helps you discover the world of Picti and Speyside, it is an excellent single malt for a debut into the world of whisky.
Nose : Cereals, vegetables.
Palate : Creamy with hints of vanilla.
Finish : Sweet, fresh, malty.
THE BRAND
The Islay boys was created by two childhood friends, Donald Mackenzie from Port Charlotte and Mackay Smith from Porthaven. Having traveled the four corners of the planet and drawing inspiration from their different experiences, while not forgetting their Viking and Celtic ancestors, they wanted to create whiskies that could be drunk with friends and family. Their whiskies are not lacking in character, accessible and delicious.
