

March Komagatake 2014, this whisky takes us on a trip to Japan. It was distilled and aged in a first-fill bourbon cask and shows great character and maturity.
In terms of taste, malted barley immediately marks its territory, it is only to better take off towards much more distant lands, more precisely Kentucky. Satisfied with the lactic and nobly woody flavours inherent in bourbon whiskies, it strides back through fields of barley with even more drive than before.
One of the Mars distilleries the Shinshu is perched at an altitude of 800 meters, and benefits from the mountains pure resources of but also from its harsh climate. Mars has a second artisanal distillery, Tsuinuki, since 2016 as well as an aging cellar on the island of Yakushima allowing them to produce whiskies from different climates.
