Mars Komagatake 2019 Double Cellars, this edition takes us on a journey through Japan: 2 types of barrels, 2 aging locations. One aged at altitude, 800 m, in the Shinshu cellars while the other aged quietly on the island of Yakushima. Their assembly gives a sensational result, an alliance of gluttony and delicacy.
One of the Mars distilleries the Shinshu is perched at an altitude of 800 meters, and benefits from the mountains pure resources of but also from its harsh climate. Mars has a second artisanal distillery, Tsuinuki, since 2016 as well as an aging cellar on the island of Yakushima allowing them to produce whiskies from different climates.
